REFLECTIONS

Experience
From these tasks, I learned a lot about typography. Through these tasks, I learned how to use Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and FontLab. Each time I submit my work, there is feedback by sir, pointing out areas for improvement. Even though sometimes I feel like crying when I do the task, but when I see the final work, I feel satisfied. Since learning about typography, I have started paying more attention to roadsides billboards. Overall, during these 14 weeks, I saw the fun of typography and learned how to create my own fonts, which I find incredibly fascinating.

Observations
Somethings I have observed is that typography is not just about choosing the fonts and adjusting the size. When I was working on the editorial spread, I found that the spacing between each letter also affects the reader's perception. Proper kerning can make text easier to read and prevent letters from being too crowded together or too spread out. Every little detail will affect the reader's reading experience.

Findings
Overall, typography is very interesting for me. Although 14 weeks is not long, I also learned a lot of useful knowledge in this course. Through these tasks, by searching many references, I have improve my aesthetics. There are a lot of good references that I could learn from. I found that good typography can enhance visual appeal and improve readability and understandability.
