LECTURES

Week1

This week, Mr. Ronald briefed us about the module information booklet and explained what we will be doing for the next 14 weeks. Besides that, to help us find ideas for making a game, he wanted us to come up with our own game idea and make a game pitch.

Week2

This week, Mr. Ronald picked some of us to present our game ideas. After that, he gave a simple demonstration on how to use Blender and Godot.

Week2/ Individual Asset Creation

This week we were asked to model our main game character and an environment object. I decided to work on my first game idea, Chef Rush, which has a strawberry as one of the game assets. Since I am not familiar with Blender, I chose something simple and followed Youtube tutorial step by step. The tutorial was about 30 minutes, but it took me almost 2 hours to finish it. First, I created the leaf, then shaped the strawberry body. After that, I made small holes and placed the seeds.

The hardest part was the seeds. They took me a long time because I had to place them one by one and adjust their rotation. But finally, I got it done.

After that, I painted it to make it look more realistic.
